Auxiliary Members:
Those persons contributing their valuable time in a support capacity such as during fund raising events, seminars, searches and other events in which assistance is needed. Auxiliary membership is a wonderful way to get involved when lifestyles, responsibilities or restraints may preclude the ability to participate as an operational member. Auxiliary members work on a flexible, prearranged schedule - raising money and awareness, hiding in the woods during a mock-search training, typesetting meeting notes, or writing hand-written notes of thanks to donors.
Our volunteers agree to:
Consider volunteer work a serious professional commitment and view the position as valid and important.
Follow the position description and accept supervision.
Be prompt and reliable in reporting for scheduled time.
Dress in an appropriate manner.
Communicate with supervisor and volunteer coordinator to resolve any concerns.
Become familiar with TRUSAR history, mission, programs, and protocol in order to be an informed ambassador for TRUSAR.
A volunteer may expect to:
Work at a position that is worthwhile & challenging
Have the position defined through a position description and receive orientation/training.
Receive sufficient training with clear directions from their supervisor
Receive support from the volunteer coordinator to resolve differences between the volunteer and another volunteer.
Be given the respect and courtesy afford all members.
